What’s the difference between CBD oil vs hemp seed oil?
Reading Time: 8 minutes Both are hemp oil; CBD oil and seed oil come from the same hemp plant. The same cannabis family of industrial hemp, but that’s where the similarity ends.
The leaves and flowers of the Cannabis plant ( cannabis sativa L. hemp plant ) produce Cannabidiol ( CBD ). In fact, there are over 100 cannabinoids found in the resinous flowering tops. Of these Cannabidiolic acid ( CBDa ), the form of CBD found in a growing plant can represent up to 40% of the hemp compounds.
Hemp seed oil like the name suggests is a hemp extract only from the seeds of the cannabis sativa plant. The seeds have rich profile of healthy nutrients. But, they do not contain any CBD or other cannabinoids and terpenes you would find in a full spectrum CBD oil.
