Safety Tested CBD Hemp

Organic Safety Tested Hemp products

Third party tested full spectrum Cannabis CBD oil

When we say third party tested full spectrum Cannabis cbd oil; that’s mechanically cold pressed hemp oil without chemical alteration, verified by third party tested.

CBD and all the partnering compounds, cannabinoids, terpenes, amino acids, omega 3 and 6, nothing added and nothing taken away. There are, in fact, over 400 compounds in the Cannabis Sativa L. hemp plant, that’s true full spectrum.

Importance of safety testing CBD Hemp products

The Hemp plant is a natural cleaner, it’s great at mopping up chemicals and heavy metals from ground water and soil, a process called phytoremediation. Therefore, it is very important that you consume Organic and Safety Tested Hemp products.

In addition to profiling the main cannabinoids and terpenes in every batch, we have extensive safety testing of the harvest batch completed by independent 3rd party labs. We’ve taken this one step futher and have completed shelf life studies to double down on the food safety of our product.

Shelf Life Testing

Shelf-life testing is designed to measure quality factors defining a food and the point at which the food exhibits unacceptable changes in physical, chemical, microbiological, or sensory characteristics. To safe guard you from food-borne illnesses the shelf life study demonstrates both the absence of Pathogenic bacteria and Rancidity conditions for up to 18 months unopened.

Cold pressing doesn’t lend well to high volume production, nor does it target any specific compound, two reasons (both yield) why almost all CBD producers avoid mechanical cold pressing. But for us there is no compromise, our product is food first and foremost. While we add a 12 month best before to our label, you can be assured our product is good for its 18 month shelf life.

Third party lab testing for potency and safety

Independent 3rd party lab testing is highly important to verify claims made by any CBD brand in terms of what’s in the bottle. You want to ensure, what you are buying, is what you are in fact getting. Therefore, verifying CBD potency is important.

For every batch produced, independent lab testing confirms our labels claim of CBD – CBDa and other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids as they naturally occur.

While it is good to confirm CBD potency, we consider food safety as paramount. There is no point having CBD potency test results and no safety testing. Contaminants such as; residual solvents in non-cold pressed extractions, heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, aflatoxins, mycotoxins and microbials can be deterimental to health. For each harvest batch we have extensive safety testing carried out to confirm suitability for human consumption.

Non-impairing; it will not get you high.

Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) is a cannabinoid that is psychoactive (also called psychotropic). It can have an intoxicating affect on the brain and nervous system, leading to a change in a person’s mental state.

Industrial hemp grown in Europe may legally contain up to 0.2% Δ9-THC at harvest. For final products legally acceptable limits vary quite a bit; for example in Ireland it’s 0%, while in Switzerland it’s 1%. However, these have little to do with safety for human consumption.

Many studies indicate an adult would have to consume 2.5-5mg of Δ9-THC to produce measurable impairing effects. To ensure our products have no psychoactive effects, THC levels are always well below the EFSA’s recommended acute reference dose for human consumption, ARfD of 0.001mg/kg. For a person weighing 70kg this would amount to less than 0.07mg THC per serving. Our 30ml bottle would have to contain more 2.7mg to exceed this.

Independent lab testing verifies that THC trace levels, if present, are always below the lab’s limit of quantitation (LOQ) or remain undetected. Based on the EFSA’s ARfD this ensures our products are always non-impairing and safe to consume.
